Pasta, quite possibly one of the easiest and most family friendly weeknight dinners. This Classic Baked Ziti is the queen of delicious pasta dishes, timeless in the best possible way.
I’m trying to write a warm and fuzzy paragraph about how classic and cozy Baked Ziti is, but it’s not happening. My kids are driving me crazy. They are still, of course, the light of my life, my raison d’etre, blah blah blah, but they’re also pushing that little button in my brain that makes me want to throw in the towel this morning.
I’ll spare you the gory details, because it’s all about the piling up of things like missing socks (where in the name of all that is holy do all the socks go? I buy them, I wash them, but when it’s time for school, there are no socks anywhere. Why? Why? This is the great and puzzling mystery of motherhood), unfinished chores, and kids who think that the task of washing out a lunchbox is on par with Chinese water torture and proceed to roll around the kitchen floor crying instead of just wiping out the gol’darn lunchbox. And don’t even get me started on the toilet and the kid who wants to keep putting everything in it – phones, ipod speakers, toys, books, and this morning Daniel Tiger, who’s wet stuffed body was then thrown around spreading that toilet water places toilet water should not be.
I love them, but it’s not even 8 AM yet.
